I worked with a guy many a year ago that got some real neat colored/grained wood from some packing crates that came from Korea. He carved some really neat stuff out of it. Couple days later his hands started swelling up and he got down right bad sick. The docs were stumped until they found out he had carved some exotic wood. Turned out the wood was bad toxic. There was even a ban on that type of wood being used as crates but foreign country's don't seem to care what they ship out just what comes in.   It took Charlie a long time to get over the exposure to the toxins in that wood. He never really did get all the way over it. Seems like he became allergic to everything afterwards.

He died for dipshits too.

Barry, You still have a bit of the thorn in your finger? If you do it may need some help comming out. Take a piece of the lining from an egg shell and lay over the hole where the thorn went in. cover that with a band aid or seomthing. It shouldnt  take long and it will draw it out.

The thorns on a locust have a waxy coating that is toxic. It will need to fester a little so that it can come out. The egg shell membraine will help with that. If you would rather use something else get some "UTTER BALM". It will work even better than the egg shell. Dont know if they have it where you are at.  It works wonders drawing out poisions, infections and such. It is in a square can that is green and red and has clover all over it. Usually found in the animal medical section of your local farm supply stores.

Barry,

Slag is just trying not to get banned for using a "bad" word (utter rather than bag).  Normally it is call Bag Balm and you probably already have it.

Yes sir guys I got the 'Bag balm" here and I'll be putting it on right after I make sausage today.  Thanks for the tip slag and I have eggs too.  Might wait until the wife gets home to put on the balm as that always excites her with the thought I'm going to massage an ol' bag .

And it will ruin a good saw chain right quick. First one I cut showered sparks the whole time and took 2 chains to get er down. When I burned the stump it burned for two weeks. Wild watching smoke come out of hte ground 20 feet from the original stump.

If ya still have it when ya come back I will be glad to operate  :eyebrownod:  And you will if'n you dont get er out now. They tend to keep on going sometimes. Jimmie

Might ruin a saw chain but it makes a heck of a good fire wood. Love watching it burn in the fire at the camp site..

My grandma got me to calling it utter balm when I was a kid. I have seen my mom use it on all kinds of ailements. Best drawing salve I have ever seen.
