"Billy Crocker move over!"  LOL!
The wife was not home this afternoon, so I took a chance and snuck into her kitchen.  innocentwhistle Found mom's apple pie recipe stashed away in the wife's cook book...A twist on a regular pie.  It's done using a sheet cake pan.  Topped off with whipped and baked egg whites.  Then drizzled with struesel icing.  This is going to be a good one!!!  Hopefully the wife will forgive me stepping into "her shop"?  This one is worth the risk.  LOL!

I was expecting to need to move this to a different area thinking that it was a call made from apple wood or a carving of an apple.  I think I can see a few faces carved on some of those pieces of apple.

Wow does that look good

It's one of those things you can smell just looking at it.  Dated a girl in high school like that once, but thats neither here nor there.

Man it's a good thing your calls aren't edible cause that looks as good as them and I'm sure it's gone now, eh.

My boy was home from college and was chomping at the bit to cut into it while it was still too hot.  By evening it was half gone.  When I got home the next day from the county job, there were just two small pieces?  After eating supper, the boy managed to leave room for 1-1/2 pieces!  That pie must have had "Bite Me" written on it?  Cause thats what he did to it!  Oh well, atleast it looked good!   laff
