When I hit the little red X in chat that it don't sign me out .   I thought it was my old computer but it appears chat don't like my new one anymore.  I been typing /quit and that works but hitting the x would be easier.

you hitting the red X up in the tippy top most right corner or the little red X that looks more like a button just above the users in caht list? the tippy top X will shut the window but not log you out of chat.

It's not suppose to log you out. It's suppose to close the program.
The chat window displays the chat program and you type commands down below to get the program to do what you want it to do or say.
Clicking the red "x" doesnt send a command into it it basically has no idea who you are to even log you out. It's an On /Off Switch.
Kinda like the dash board of a Tyler Patriot XL sprayer, turn it on, turn it off.
