The FnF Spring 2010 Youth Wild Turkey Contest

This year we are going to add something new, a youth turkey contest.

This will run from: March 13 â€" June 1, 2010.

We have a special grand prize award donated by FOsteology.
Also we will have a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th place, receiving $25.00 bucks each (from the members funds).

******************
THIS THREAD IS FOR THE YOUTH TURKEY CONTEST ONLY
******************

TO ENTER:

* All youths entering must be UNDER the age of 16 and need to have a FnF Reg Member status by the end of the contest. That means 25 posts under your belt to be eligible OR the kid/grandkid/nephew/niece/cousin of a current FnF member with 25 posts or more.

* The youth(s) participating will need to submit a picture of themselves with their turkey (hero shot) and a hunt report in their own words.
Not fair for adults to help out the kids by writing for them…winners will be based on best hunt report AND picture. The winners will be selected based on vote/poll by the FnF membership.

* All submitted photos must have something in the picture that says Fins and Fur and the date taken. Write it on your shirt, your forehead, write it in the dirt, on a piece of paper...it doesn't matter but it must be in the picture.

* All entries MUST be posted in this thread.

* To avoid confusion: Only one (1) Wild Turkey can be entered per person, per contest.

After the contest deadline we will allow seven (7) days for the poll/vote to run so every member (Reg status or above) gets a chance to vote.

Thanks to FOsteology's generous donation, to be used for the youth turkey contest, this year’s grand prize contest winner will receive:

A Benelli Nova 20 gauge youth pump shotgun in Realtree APG camo, 24” barrel - vent rib, 3 removable choke tubes, 44.2” overall length, 6.4 pounds and will take 2 ¾ and 3” shells.

We would like to thank our members that donated items and money for the contests.
We would also like to thank our young sportsmen and ladies for their participation, have fun and good hunting!

Prize Update For Youth Wild Turkey Contest

The 1st place winner of the youth contest will also receive one (1) custom glass turkey call w/ striker, donated by Coulter (Steve) @ North Bay Game Calls.

Steve only asks that the winner be required to send him a feather or two from their winning bird. He will then make a glass call with a feather from the winning bird underneath, makes a great call to commemorate the hunt.

These calls are examples of Steve's work:

No problem Chet...I just didn't want somebody thinking I'd put a feather under the slate...that would be kinda silly
