Bills Custom Calls

http://www.johnthune.com/say-no-to-reconciliation/fb/

In spite of bipartisan opposition to the Pelosi/Reid/Obama health care legislation, Democrats in Congress are attempting to pass this ill-considered bill on a partisan basis with only a bare-majority of votes, bypassing the Senate's filibuster rules to jam through legislation that the American public clearly opposes.

This bill will raise taxes, increase the cost of insurance, do nothing to contain health care costs, and will further increase federal spending, the federal budget deficit and our national debt that will burden future generations and hamper economic growth.

Please join with me today to oppose this bill and the use of reconciliation to pass it

I was talking to my aunt last week while we waited on my dad's heart surgery to be completed.

She was telling me over her 45+ years in medicine that she has seen all kinds of goofy systems and just how scary they are.

In India, their medicine is more on a class system. The higher up the food chain you are, the better health care you get.

In England, they use socialized medicine. She was telling me how everyone worked on shifts just like a factory. Every day if a surgeon and his team are operating on someone and their shift is over, they just stop what they are doing and let the next shift pick up where they left off. Now how would you like that? Doing Open Heart Surgery on you and they just trade out. The new doctor and his team really don't know what's been going on, exactly what has been completed and what hasn't, etc.
I don't like mechanics doing that. One starting the job and one finishing it, so I am quite positive I wouldn't want someone doing that to me while I was in a life or death type surgery.  :doh2:

God help us, this world is going crazy quick.  :rolleye:
