some of ya'll may know that Verizon recently sold out its residential phone service to Frontier in i believe 14 states. WV was one of them, unfortunately.

i was wondering if any of ya'll have been adversly affected by the switch?

Frontier took over for Verizon here starting July 1st and there have been nothing but phone issues ever since.

i the last 5 days our phone service has been out 40 plus hrs.

thats more(excluding outages related to bad weather) than we were without service in the last 5 yrs combined with verizon.

i wonder if Frontier has bitten off more than it can chew?

any opinions?

My service stinks now that the change over has happened.

Rather it just stayed Verizon

I got sick of them overcharging me before the switch and their only reason was "Other Charges"  So I refused to pay the bill and we are currently in despite..... I will win...... Cause I will never pay an unexplained bill.

No problems here Frontier bought verizon over a year ago and the service man told me that frontier was a better company and any down time when service goes out storms contractors digging in the wrong spot,ect...  will be minimal.Frontier will fix problems faster then Verizon ever thought of ,I got a good chuckle out of that,as we were looking for the spot where my phone line had been chewed through by a ground hog  :laf:

Frontier couldn't possibly be worse than Verizon.
