I went out to the Peanut Patch this morning doing my daily cruise to pull weeds and it is so hot that after about 30 minutes I was soaking wet with sweat and so I came in to the house to cool off a little bit and the Wife came down the stairs and said I got you something, and I replied What is That? Well it was box with a return address from Dave Paul and Barry, below is what was inside, I have admired Dave 's work and stories but had not seen one of his calls in person and I am very impressed, these items were sent as a request from Barry for appreciation for the Peanut Patch thing we have going on to get Barry elected to president  :eyebrownod: The Peanut Patch thing has been all my pleasure and is a Hobby of mine that I try to do every year for friends and family.This unique gift was a total surprise and was received with great gratitude. There was also a letter in the box explaining the situation with what the gifts were for and Dave informed me that his Son will be attending Clemson Collage this fall which is near to me and hopefully we can get together and maybe the Peanuts will be in and let him try our southern delicacy.

That Barry fellow is a heck of a nice guy.  I just hope he finds a Cabinet position for all of us once he's President? :wo: LOL!

CC, I'm glad everything made it, and that you are pleased.  Just shows you what kind of guy our Canadian buddy is.  He does alot for others.  And he does it in a quiet sort of way so as not to garner attention.  I truly hope his peanut campaign is successful.  Here's wishing for a good crop North and South! :congrats:

Ya gotta go a long way to find a better group of people than we have here.  Dave is a master craftsman as all his work shows it, Barry is just a hellva nice guy and Carl is likewise.

When they come for mine they better bring theirs

  Carl without you as the campaign manager what chance would I have :shrug:.  This peanut farming is an experience for my whole family[and half the neighborhood] that is teaching us all something[who woulda thought].  Just how many Canadians do you suppose received peanut seed and fertilizer in a package :shrug:[but I can guess].  The bowl was something that struck me on the head[she has good aim :doh2:] and Dave was gracious enough to build it for you. :bowingsmilie:[After I saw it you just about lost it :wink:]  Dave in his unbelievable way went out of his way to make it perfect :yoyo:.  The pm's were quite interesting too as I'd get one saying I can't and then one saying I'm done Kinda/sorta :laf: :laf:.  The knowledge and fun you guys have shared with one another is unsurpassed by anyone so as usual to all.   FEEL PROUD YOU DESERVE TOO. :biggrin:

Wow, what generosity! Hats off to you, Barry & Dave. :congrats:
And there is fewer, finer people than Carl. In my book he could be the poster child for Southern Hospitality. ;yes;

You know Guys this site is addictive, I find myself spending more and more time checking in to what is going on here every day and it is cool to know you have friends all around the country, Barry is quite a guy and he is bound and determined to make a friend, its hard to believe that someone would drive from Alberta to The Land Between The Lakes to meet a bunch of guys he met on the Internet, his lifestyle reminds me of the way it was here in the south 60 years ago where every neighbor was a friend and they helped each other, something our children and grandchildren will never experience,  I hope to someday meet him. The Peanut Patch thing has been very amusing and with the number of hits and comments on that thread has amazed me. It is no drought that Dave is a very gifted person with his craftsmanship and his story telling ability, its alway fun to read his post. The gifts these guys sent to me will always have a special meaning for me and remind me of what friends are. Thanks to all of you and God Bless cc
