We have enjoyed the redneck jokes for years.  It's time to take a reflective look at the core beliefs of a culture that values home, family, country and God.  If I had to stand before a dozen terrorists who threaten my life, I'd choose a half dozen or so rednecks to back me up.  Tire irons, squirrel guns and grit - that's what rednecks are made of.  Even living in the north, I believe I am a redneck.  Ya'll know.

You might be a redneck if:
It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, 'One nation, under God.'

You might be a redneck if:
You've never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments posted in public places.

You might be a redneck if:
You still say 'Christmas' instead of 'Winter Festival.'

You might be a redneck if:
You bow your head when someone prays.

You might be a redneck if:
You stand and place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem.

You might be a redneck if:
You treat our armed forces veterans with great respect, and always have.

You might be a redneck if:
You've never burned an American flag, nor intend to.

You might be a redneck if:
You know what you believe and you aren't afraid to say so, no matter who is listening.

You might be a redneck if:
You respect your elders and raised your kids to do the same.

You might be a redneck if:
You'd give your last dollar to a friend.

So, are you a redneck?

Nope :innocentwhistle:. I'm a Canadian white trash who lives life by his own rules.  Some of our rules overlap a mite though .

Was that the show with the old moonshiner named "Popcorn" ?...I saw on the news awhile ago he got busted and then committed suicide :

Legendary Haywood County moonshiner Marvin “Popcorn” Sutton took his own life because he couldn’t stand the thought of going to prison, his wife said today.

Pam Sutton said she found her husband Monday afternoon dead of carbon monoxide poisoning outside their home in Cocke County, Tenn.

“He got his letter to report Friday, and he just couldn’t handle it,” she said. “We tried everything we could to leave him on house arrest, and they wouldn’t do it. So I thank the federal court for this.

“And he was really sick. He was depressed. I didn’t know he was that depressed.”

Sutton, 62, spent much of his life making moonshine, a craft that brought him fame and a string of criminal convictions dating back to the 1970s. He was facing 18 months in federal prison on moonshining and weapons charges and had told a judge at his sentencing he was in poor health and would rather die at home than in jail.

Never thought I would see the days that Rednecks and Southerners would become fashionable and have a following in the North. :eyebrow:

With the advent of the Tea party, their beliefs fighting along the lines of states rights and the Federal Government trying to suppress it's citizens freedoms. I see the old views of the Confederacy creeping into the main stream. Just like in the late 1800's the left wing is trying to spin the Tea party into being racist as the left wing tried to make the Confederacy into racist. This is a long time documented tactic by the left wing.

I applaud my Yankee Redneck brothers here at FnF as my forefathers here in the South did to their Yankee brothers that came South way back then to fight for the Confederacy.Common sense see's no North or South but only right and wrong so welcome aboard to the Southern Redneck way...

BTW Jims remark about cola may have been in reference to Coca-Cola which came from the South where all us dumb hillbilly Rednecks originated from..
