Had one today eluding the dogs for almost a two mile run this morning.
We got a PILE of snow up here, and it's running 10 to 15 degrees below at night.
The dogs are breaking through the snow and the yotes are skipping across the top. Making for a lot of works on these poor hounds.

This was the only footage I could get out of the whole run...just as the coyote wedged himself into a yard of several tightly packed round bales. The dogs couldn't get in between them.
Couple of the guys started moving round bales enough to let a dog in between them and in they went...came back out with the coyote..."bang!"

Sorry bout the poor quality...they were close to 350 yards away before I could get em in the lens.

Cool.Where you runnin' at?Our snow here isn't that deep, makes it easy walking.Haven't seen too many dog hunters this year, theres usually quite a few.I got a cat tag this year, didn't catch or call one,so was thinking about having a friend run one with dogs, but didn't have any snow to go find some tracks to run,and the ground was froze hard.Maybe I'll get one in 5yrs,when I get a tag again.I've only tagged one cat in my life.

Your about four and a half hours North of me blakcoyote.
I'm close to an hour straight south of LaCrosse

Send some of those cats down this way when ya get around to it.  They are pretty far and few between down here.

WOW! Here I thought you were north with all the snow.We haven't gotten hardly squat here, but march isn't here yet.Theres getting to be more cats south of the zone, probably won't be long for them to get by you.Lot of guys I've talked to say they're always releasing cats trapping, but there still north of 29.So it could be awhile.

I am bnccont  :laf: I love my Foxpro.
There's a group of guys here that run dogs religiously. They load up the dogs after a fresh snow, drive around and look for tracks and when they find some, they dump out the dogs.

Never really been my cup of tea, but my business partner doesn't have the patience for calling and he got hooked up with them. He stopped over yesterday and said they were heading out. I'm not real keen on driving around with uncased rifle in the truck either, so all I took was the video camera.
