Well my wife decided to go on her ummm first umm last coyote hunt with me today. I'm not saying she's old but she's closer to 100 than she is to 11. First we take off in the car for the 27 mile drive to the spot I want to try. We have a long talk about sitting still and being quiet when we get there. Everything goes swell, until we get there. We get out out and walk to the spot I plan on setting up and I get her sat down beside me and as comfortable as she can get?

Wife:  I think i t's too cold to hunt today.   "35 degrees"

Me:  The temp is fine just relax and I'll start calling.  "Now I'm using a distress call"

Wife:   I think you missed a note. It sounded funny.

Me..Grrrrrrr

Wife: Well excuse meeee.

a few minutes pass and we just sit there scanning the area.

Wife:   Is this gonna take much longer?  "It's been about 3 minutes".

Me:   We'll stay about 30 minutes.

Wife:  30 MINUTES?

Me:   ok we'll just try 20 minutes.

Start calling again for about a minute, then sit and scan again.

Wife:  Do you really enjoy doing this?

Me:  Today? NO.

Wife: Again Excuse Meeeeee !

Wife: My hands are cold.

Me: here put on these gloves.

Wife: I'm hungry.

Wife: It's really getting cold.

Wife:  My nose is running.  "blows nose, puts on chapstick"

Wife: Will it be much longer.

Me: No this set is done.

We are now home. She's on farmville and I am going hunting  later "alone".

I have a feeling I will never be asked if she can come along again. And if she does ask I already know the answer.  :doh2:

Sometimes the best way is to just take them along and show them how much fun you have when your out hunting.
Don't bring shame to our sport.

Al, Yes I brought her home. She can still cook.

John,

Look at it this way; she will never go with you again, you will be able to go by yourself and enjoy yourself, and she will never question you about "going out and having FUN" hunting ever again.

That was the plan Jerry and I'm pleased to say it worked.  :alscalls:
