Last Day Doe........

Well, I woke up this morning and saw some of the fellas in the shout box talking about going hunting..... I was drinking coffee and asked the wife what she wanted to do and said that the guys on the forum have me thinking about going hunting.
To which she says...."Ya want me to go deer hunting with ya?"    I said well If I did I would not shoot one unless it was a good sized doe..... She said OK.... Shes NEVER seen me kill an animal....
So with a SSE wind I told her it would be quite a walk to get up on em today but the 54 deg. temp @ 10:30 would make it nice......She agreed and after a Very long climb.....and a 5 min. wait here came a crap load of deer walking right to us.... BANG!    The best part was..... with my bad back.... she was some of the best help I have had getting one out of the woods.... She done good helping with the deeds that needed done, and thats a fact.
What a great way to end the year....and on the last day of doe season..... 
She dont want her pic posted......   But here is the deer....

That's real cool Al and a nice Doe,    to you and your hunting partner, you know you are tight when she wants to tag along on a cold day and then help with the cleaning, but nothing like sticking your cold hands in a deer gut on a cold day.   cc

Thanks John....... I am letting her hang for several days before we cut her up as she is an old one....... About 1/8" of back teeth showing.    So I cut her feet off........ split the pelvic bone...... cut her head off..... and removed any remaining throat tube, ect. to keep anything from spoiling........ and in this weather she can hang for a good while.
