The Green Bay Packers were founded on August 11, 1919 by a couple high-school football rivals named Earl "Curly" Lambeau and George Whitney Calhoun.
Lambeau solicited funds for uniforms from his employer, the Indian Packing Company which was a large meat packing company located in Green Bay at the time.
Lambeau was given $500 for uniforms and equipment, on the condition that the team be named for its sponsor.

And today our stadium is even named after Lambeau.

Somehow I envisioned the previous post to be a lot more creative than it looks.  :wo:

Them Packers will have to go through the Bears again to get anywhere and as you know, its tough for either one of those teams to win back to backs against each other, because of the rivalry.

I'm just glad to see the Atlanta Falcons doing so well this year. They won't make it to the big show, but at least they had a good year.  :highclap:

I wouldn't be so quick to count them out. Other then New England being on a steam roller, the rest is unpredictable this year (Like the whole season).

Seahawks..................really?  :doh2: :sick2:

:alscalls: Good example. The hawks were left for dead...now looky looky.
