As I'm researching and cataloging stuff, how do I take a snap shot of a page for future reference.   Like say this page.

I use Firefox, but IE should work the same. Right click on the page. Then click on "Save As", then click on complete web page. Select where you want the page saved and it'll be right where you want it.

I went back and looked at your post and the picture I thought was just some foolish signature came up when I clicked on it.  I ain't hooked to a printer and I sure as [L] ain't going to start trying to save paper files and computer files both :nono:.  I am far to over extended with the camera and this freaking thing to try something like that.

Barry, the third reply to this topic, which is from myself, contains an image, that when clicked will enlarge itself, revealing two simple steps involved in printing a page.

You gave me crap a while back for adding a note above attached images that stated "click image to enlarge it". As if I was insulting your intelligence. So I dont put any directions on that attached image......aaaaaaaaaaaaaand....look where we went.   :innocentwhistle: :laf: :alscalls:

Oh so you DID put two and two together and click it.  :laf:

Ok...I didnt know printing them was an issue. I thought it would be easier for someone in your position since the printed sheets would be very easily referred to.
If you save them as some sort of document how do you plan to name them so that you can refer to and access them as needed? I'm seeing a disaster in the making.  :wo:

I did enlarge it after the other post and I clicked on print and it did something but if it is on this computer I sure as [L] don't know where.  I can track power through my truck, sprayer or a magpie through the air but they have so few less places to hide than a cyber speck has on here. :argh:

If I can watch my Kenworth drive away without me in it, what kind of disaster do you think I can't handle :readthis:.  Don't answer that :nono:.

lol :alscalls: aint gonna worry about that Barry

Maybe the next best thing then would be to create a new favorites folder and bookmark these pages instead of actually trying to save them as content.
Plus that way you could name them practically anything without hindering your ability to refer back to them.

Barry,I'm glad you are around here to ask dumb ass questions so that I can learn something also  That is something I have been trying to figure out myself. Thankyou very much.  :bowingsmilie:  :bowingsmilie: cc

Jim that idea will work fine and I have a few pages saved that way .  The one I mentioned is an ebay page and after their auction is over all the good stuff is removed :argh:. Kinda/sorta why I wanted to save a snapshot of some of them :readthis:.  I've found ebay and other auction type sites to be a really good source for studying up on old artifacts.
