Bills Custom Calls

About 10pm last night I guess the power lines couldn't take any more
I was gonna leave this morning for the LBL but I an gonna put my trip on hold for another day
Hopefully the power will be back on today but with 40 mph winds and now it is starting to snow I am sure the linemen are feeling it
I am running the generator for some coffe tv and internet and a few other things we think  we need

Sorry to hear about your being powerless Bill.  I hope guys like Steve and Mike are safe out there as well.  Amazing how dependent on power this part of the world has become.
I say what I think not think what I say.

Sorry to hear this Bill.  I think you have a way to burn wood which will keep things from freezing.  If the power goes off at my place I have candles and electric space heaters.  One out of two ain't bad.

We were lucky and only got the snow, some freezing snow (about like #6 shot), and then more snow.  No ice.  It only took me about 2 1/2 hours to clear the drive, part of the alley, my walks, and a couple of the neighbors.  I usually go along in front of a couple of houses on Second St. (one of the main streets in town) but it was too packed down from the snow plows.  I need a two-stage snow blower with a big gas tank.  Then I could go out and really do some damage to the snow.

Maybe just throw a log on the fire and snuggle up against mama, Bill. :innocentwhistle: :laf:

Send the visitors next door to entertain the MIL.  I talked with a friend in Columbus today and they lost power around midnight.  The power companies are telling them that all the power will be restored within 5 to 7 days.

Not a bad Idea at all Jerry

There was a substation that got hit pretty hard a couple miles over the hill from us
This morning at 8 the numbers were down to only 2,000 customers out and thats not to bad from where the #'s started I called the power company about noon to tell them a tree had hit the lines here at my place but didn't bring the lines down they told me the crews were working and power is almost restored and thanked me calling and they would send some one out

We got lucky here. The storm went north of us. We got just a little sleet and mostly rain.
