A couple more stones & you might consider the trade offs. 

Seriously, you want to hit the liquids, but not tea. At least that's what my urologist said last time. He also said to cut back on red meat & salt.    I just drink a bit more. 

You just experienced the worse pain most people say & I can't argue. Even women say it's worse than having a baby! 

BTW Jimbo it's not from the bladder to the toilet that hurts, but from the kidney to the bladder. That tube, called the ureter, is muscle & when a stone touches it; it contracts & hence the pain. From my own experience I've barely felt the stone leave the bladder.

Oh I look at the trade offs,, that's why I choose not to drink.  Been there, don't wanna go back there.   
Crap I never thought red meat or salt could be a problem, I do like those !   
and spot on, on the pain level compared to the path of the little sucker.
