I think I found me some Poison Ivy...while fishing this weekend. I kept waking up Sunday night scratching my face, and being so tired and half asleep I blew it off as being to warm in bed.

Yesterday morning I wake up to red puffy patches on my face and ho leee crap do they itch. Took a hot shower and went to work.

I put some Calomine lotion on my face last night when I went to bed, and this morning while I was washing it off, it itched so bad the wash cloth gave me goose bumps.  Ohhhhh mercy

Mr. Jim, you should be thinking seriously about seeing your doctor. There are shots now that help. If it gets into your eyes, nose or mouth you'll be in deep poo. Plus without medical attention you may end up looking like Bop's twin brother. (No smiley for this is currently available)

Jim,

Just shave and it will take all those little bumps right off.    :sad3:

Yep, that should do the trick.

Then for any left over problems with itching just give the ol' swollen mug a good heavy splash (or two) of a topical antiseptic & sanitizer...  something like, oh... say, 90% Isopropyl Alcohol.

I guarantee doing this will quickly take your mind off any itching.  :innocentwhistle:

Yeah a good splash of Brute or Aqua Velva or something uh?

I stopped at the Pharmacy tonight after work, and they recommended some Cortizone. The pharmacist said to take Benadryl along with it. I said I'm already taking Clariton for season allergies. He's like yeah, you can double it up and take a Benadryl at bedtime to help you sleep.

:wo: I said I'm sleeping fine and with that said, I'll sleep on that. :laf:

So does it, or did it, itch on your hands etc.
or how the heck did it end up on your face?
Scott

FinsnFur

My guess Scott is I brushed through it. I'm usually pretty careful about touching anything with my hands when I'm in some of these places. Saturday out fishing I was crawling under a bridge, and around embankments hitting different honey holes for these smallies.

As you can see in Saturdays pics, I was wrapped up pretty good, hood up and all. It was nasty, cold windy and rainy. The only thing exposed was my face and as careful as I am where I place my hands, because of stuff like this, I'm guessing a brushed against it to get through somewhere and then later wiped my nose with my arm/sleeve, which I was doing all morning :laf:

I got just a couple little spots on one hand, and I mean little spots.
