Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.

I want to thank all you guys for your birthday wishes.  As always, I want to send good wishes back your way, but some of your messages deserve direct replies.  I will touch on a few of those:

Pat, I haven't received that elegant a message since the last meeting of the Imperial Order of the Opossums, sometime around 1965.  It was held high in a huge sycamore tree on the banks of the Chatahoochee River. I could still climb that high back then, and still had enough of my prehensile tail left to hang upside down, in proper fashion. I recall, just barely, how different everything looks upside down.  Thanks for reviving pleasant memories.  :alscalls:

Shad, in that coon hunting world you mentioned, I deserved that slicktail title at one time, but now, with only a slight knub of my once perfect tail left, I have to settle for what a lot of coon hunters and trappers call me, "Grinner".

Thanks again to all the good wishes.  Jim gets the award for the most accurate title, "Old Coot".  :congrats: :congrats:

Good hunting at all of ya!

Nasty, I am not "Skeered" of many things, and if the number were 50, I'd be even less concerned.  The old adage, "You're only as old as you feel" is beginning to apply.  So it is fast becoming a matter of my mind not controlling the matter as well.  :eyebrow:

Happy belated birthday Al. I hope you had a good one.

I think you got Chet (coyotehunter_1) confused with me, he sent the cool IOO crest. I can see how that could happen, we are both brutally handsome gents.

Pat, you are too correct, but you are also correct in the statement about both of you being "Brutally handsome gents". Sorry about that Chet, but glad for your handsome side.  Magnificent Marsupials get mixed up sometimes, when they can no longer do their natural sleeping, etc..

On the mix up, Mr. Al, no problem it happens quite often.

Yes, a belated Happy Birthday from one old coot to another.  I was gone all last week and missed the festivities on your day, but have so appreciated your good judgment and encouraging words that I wanted to wish you a good year to follow this good birthday.
