A Quiz

I haven't been around the list for quite a while, so hope this isn't a repeat.   

Here’s a quiz for you mush heads. 


The Rules: 

No cheating.   
No using your computer, no search engines or posting the question on them.
No looking in books, etc.
No looking at maps of any kind (computer, books, globes, etc).
No asking someone else.
No forum discussion until someone is declared the winner.   Post your four (4) answers only.

Just use your noodles only and let’s see whose is not full of mush.   

If you've already seen this quiz (and so know the answers), please let the other members have some fun with it.

I’ll declare the winner, and will provide the argument to justify the only real answer if needed.

Thanks for the replies gents.

Those taking the quiz don't forget "E".   The replies so far - while they do have some of the correct elements of the only correct answer they are still wrong.   

However they did fall into what is the highest percentile of general knowledge in this country with the rest of "us" mushheads.   

Semp - thanks for holding off.    I'll ask you for the "why" later if nobody gets it... as your test.

Nope, nobody has given a correct answer yet, and none even close to complete. 

Let 'er run for a while, but when several folks cry wolf I'll give you a hint that should help alot if you want.

BTW, the quiz is which "state", and does not include any US Territories.

Farthest: Superlative form of far.   The correct answer for this quiz matters not what state you are in, unless the state of confusion, and so matters not from which state where you live you are offering your answer from.   



Edit to clarify and add:   Those who have seem something similar and think they know the "correct" answer, please feel free to send me a "Quiz" PM with it, incluidng a simple one sentence "why".

East--  The State that has Marthas Vineyard or Nantucket or whatever that part is sticking out into the Atlantic Ocean. 

West-- Hawaii-- It's so damn far to the West you gotta fly or swim to get there. 

North-- Alaska-- It's way the freak up there!! 

South-- Texas-- I think the tip of Texas is lower than the mainland of Florida.
