A couple of weeks ago a hunting partner and I were cruising back roads in a mule deer and moose wintering are when we came on tracks from what looked like a coyote convention.  We were following 4 down the road when they encountered at least two more and they all danced around in the road.  There is one moose track crossing through this clutter of tracks and I think one mule deer.  Otherwise all of the tracks and marks in the snow are from coyotes.

No, we wanted something bigger and were not willing to use daylight on coyotes that day when we had excellent tracking conditions.  Yes, we are spoiled!

I've seen that too. The ones I seen were with Turkey tracks, so I figured the coyotes found a turkey crossing for their hunting grounds :eyebrow:
