I got out this morning in search of a couple coyotes that had been seen hanging around some calving cows behind a buddys house, I made it to my location on a small pond dam with a funnel just below me that deer use alot so i figured if is good enough for them the yotes will follow. It was foggy some times you couldnt see 30yrds and then the wind would move and you could see a 100 or so, I started out with some lite rabbit and within a few minutes i saw one to my left that had just passed in front of me at 50yrds and i couldnt see it because of the fog it was just about to down wind me and it disapeard in the fog so i hit the pup dist and started looking around when i saw another on coming from my right at about 100 yrds i got him in my scope as he stopped and the fog started rolling back in  i took the shot and saw the hit the 60 gr sp out of my Rock River ar had connected i dindt know where i hit it so i gave it a few and waited for the fog to lift, i hit him alittle far back but it sure opened him up. I wish i would of had more time to check him out but the Bull said it was time for me to leave and i was glad to still have some fog hanging around.

Yea Jim he was a young bull he didnt like pups in dist :nofgr: he would paw at the ground and raise hell then  charge :whew: i had to do a follow up shot  and he didnt like that either.  I slipped out the backdoor and took the long way home, im to big to run and to slow to getaway .Its been a great last few weeks as this winter wasnt very great for predator hunting for me but sighting are way up as of latley, i missed one a couple of weeks ago twice it was a long poke but alot of fun.

It sounds like you've got those coyotes' habits pretty well pegged, good call in.  :congrats:

BTW, keep a close eye on that young bull.
