Brothers first coyote hunt!!

My brother came home this week on leave and wanted to do a little predator hunting with me to see what im addicted to. On the way to our first stand hes asking me and ol'joe about our percentages and what the odds are, how fast they come in basically all the questions every new hunter ask. Started the stand at 7:00 am with few short howls, give it about 2 or 3 minutes and went into some fawn distress. After doing that for a few minutes I started to throw in a few barks here and there just going back and forth. Sure enough i look over to where joe is posted up and i see him raise his gun then lowers it back down; then he shoulders it again and im strting to wonder what the L he is doing and then BANG!! He drops her @ 20yds and he jumps to his feet gun raised over his head going yiyiyiyiyiyi. First coyote of the year for me and joe and even though my brother didnt get to shoot he said he had a great time. Tried two more stands with no luck and heat finally won the battle and pushed us to the house overall a great time.

Sounds like a great hunt Buscuit, did he get the bug? I cant believe how open the woods look up here you cant see 20ft. Congrats to Oljoe on his first for the year.

The heat won the battle...boy that sounds like familiar territory.
I'm looking forward to the 'yiyiyiyiyiyi' sound file. When are you going to post that. I think we could all benefit from that.
