Our WV State Senator (Joe Manchin) is puching for a ban/stricter laws on AR's.  He just stated it today. He stated in a press conference that he didnt know anybody who actually hunted with these type weapons  .  Im just asking you guys to fill out the contact form and send it in voicing our opinions.  If you would really like to help give him a call to.  It was a busy signal on all the numbers except his Washington Office (202-224-3954) and I spoke with a live person who heard me out.  If enough of us complain maybe these idiots will stop thinking the guns are the ones killing people.

I contacted my Senator, Mitch McConnell, and told him to oppose any new laws that infringe on the rights guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment. I will do the same with Senator Paul and Rep. Whitfield and I urge each of you to do the same with your representatives. Tough times are upon us and the politicians will be tempted to do the politically expedient. Let's hold their feet to the fire.

Thank you guys! and who cares what he thinks Jimbo.  I know of almost 30 people that has called him so far.  Another friend of mine just got off the phone with them and he asked if they have been getting many calls.  They said the phones have been ringing off the hook.  Keep em ringing guys!!  This is just a first step. They dont want us armed.  When we are armed we are citizens...unarmed we are subjects.

"Please oppose any control on our firearms as a result of recent school shootings. 

If you want to do something effective allow willing and well trained school staff to carry concealed in the schools.  The school no gun zones are just an invitation to nut cases to go there to kill as many as possible without fear of any armed resistance.  I am a retired elementary school teacher.  I can imagine the feeling of helplessness the staff and students must feel when one of these incidents happens and your only defense is to hide in the closet, or maybe throw a book at the assailant.

As an avid hunter I use an AR-15 type rifle to hunt coyotes.  Restricting these firearms or limiting the capacity of magazines might make you feel like you have taken action and done something to help, but it would not really be effective.  Allowing ccw in schools would give qualified people a chance to defend themselves and make schools less attractive targets.

My reply wasn't nearly as good as Frogman's but I did ask him to re-consider any restrictions on AR RIFLES before he ruins thousands upon thousands of West Virginians lives. I know you good folks use these to feed your Families.

Thanks for your help guys. Lol not that we need them to feed our families. I think we need to concentrate more on 2nd Ammendment rights other than the hunting aspect. Nowhere in the 2nd Ammendment does it mention hunting and i think the liberals would just blow it off.

Jim, I am hearing of a rally we are going to have at Manchins office in Charleston.  I am thinking its going to be on Sunday.  I'l keep you posted the more I find out.  Do the same for me if you hear anything.

The Rally is at Manchins Office on Saturday at 10:00am. The West Virginia Citizen Defence league is who started everything.  Alot of people are suppose to turn out but we need everybody we can get.  I am hoping I will be off work.  Hope to see ya there Jim.

I would say that 80-90% of the people there will have their ccw.  That is one place I wont worry about a lunatic getting very many rounds off.
