I grew up on George Jones

And the lord has come to take him back.
George died at a ripe ole age of 81 this Friday. They are having his funeral Thursday at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. wow
George was a legend. Rest in peace my friend.

I grew up listening to Hank Williams Senior, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, etc.Huge George Jones Fan! I love the video!...really like "Choices" too!

Nobody's going to fill his shoes, I can't even stand listening to half the country singers nowadays!

Most are all gone now and like you said what is left is hardly worth listening to.  Some of the ones I miss -Marty Robbins, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty,Buck Owens,Ed Bruce, Patsy Cline, Tom T Hall, Lefty Frizzell, and of course the outlaws, Waylon, Willie, and Chris. 
When they come for mine they better bring theirs
