Another lucky morning.
« on: November 21, 2017, 09:30:54 AM »
I'm traveling for Thanksgiving and didn't want to have to fool with butchering a deer before leaving, so I went after the turkeys again this morning. Just as scripted, they flew down about sunrise, milled around for a couple of minutes and came to the decoys. This one drew the short straw:

Here she lays as the sun comes up:

Hey Pat, I hate to break the news to ya but luck plays no part in this.  Try skill, scouting, preparation and devotion to a sport ya love but leave luck at home.  Congratulation on another fine hunt.
When they come for mine they better bring theirs

Luck, skill, preperation and maybe a splash of some corn field cologne.

In all seriousness congratulations on another fine hunt and harvest
