There is a hole in the bottom, that is supposed to be there.

Genie Bottle with an escape hatch?  :innocentwhistle:  :alscalls:

If I had to take an uneducated guess, it would be along the lines of a hummingbird feeder bottle?  :wo:

FnF; You are right. That is too simple and it isn't a vase.

pitw

A good ol fashioned bong.
I say what I think not think what I say.

remrogers

Was used during fancy parties and not as pitw suggests.

Hawks Feather

How is a watering vase used at a fancy party? Not a watering vase.

Hawks Feather

Who said anything about a fancy party?  You stick one end of the vase in the potted plant and add water.  It slowly soaks into the flower and will keep it watered for a couple of days.   :innocentwhistle:

Hawks feather is getting close, but it is NOT watering vase and it is used at fancy parties.

Aerator of some sort? Even though the mouth looks to small? Appears to have either mint, clover or lime peel in it too?

Modulated predator call?  You blow in the little end.  Critter calls make great party entertainment.

I did some predator calls with my voice and a call at a dinner party one evening, and our host, who had never done it, decided to try it the next evening.  He stepped out of his back door in rural small farm and scattered housing clusters, and did some rodent squeaks.  An owl swooped out of the deep dusk and almost took his head.  They could not WAIT to call and tell me, all breathless.

Obviously, none of us have every used or seen one of these. It is a punch server. It is placed into a bowl  of punch and the liquid enters the bottom, filling the lower end of the unit. You place your thumb over the top hole and remove it from the bowl and hold it over a cup. Removing your thumb allows the punch to drain into the cup. Some just use a ladle to accomplish the same thing.

Yeah....not me! Most of my punch experience during youth came in the form of "Jungle Juice" and bobbing for the fruit...............So, what I can remember anyway?
