Always looking and sometimes finding

. Was -32F yesterday and I didn't feel like splitting firewood so I called a fellow up the wife gave me the phone number of. He had a 1995 F150 4x4 with 208,000km for sale for $2500 she saw on face----. Young fellow was at home so I got Donny and went for a short drive to look. He tells me that he has in the last year put $4,000 in parts in to the dang thing[I believe him now

]. It has new leaf springs on the back, coils on the front. Pretty much all front end steering parts done, new brake booster, new distributor[and electronic for same], new radiator, new rear tires[with near new fronts] and new rear gas tank. I'm not impressed that it is an automatic and 5.8 but the wife could use it to pull her horsey to trail rides, cow chasing and such

. Donny and the young fellow take off for a drive and come back 20 minutes later with Don smiling big

. He took her over to the highway and then locked er in 4x4 to test her across a few miles of stubble fields.

Said it works perfect and that the heater works in every position[my 95 don't]. I offers up $2000 and the guy grabs me hand[hate it when they do that]

. Paper work done while he tells me more of what he has done to er and then I ask, "What is wrong with it now that it's mine"? He says nothing more than a crack in the windshield and the Ebrake.

Donny jumps in to drive er home and the fellow comes yelling that there is four more tires and rims to go to. We get it home and park er, then today the temp has warmed up to -20F so the wife goes out to feed the horsey so I say to try starting the truck. 3rd crank and the worms turning.

Feeds horsey and takes er for a drive, comes back smiling.
