The road ahead.

The road behind.  No track but mine.  South face, little snow, 3000 feet elevation.

Creek below logging road bridge at about 2800 feet elevation.

Dungeness River at 2500 feet

Same Dungeness River at about 800 feet elevation

I have read that the Dungeness River has the greatest drop in elevation in the shortest total river length in the world.

The State of WA is shutting down all of these roads and wilderness at midnight tonight.  Somebody alone up there might catch a virus...

Aaahhh the road less traveled!! Those are the best roads & usually own the best sight seeing. I'd love to drive around out there in about mid Spring! So glad you got out for a ride Ok. Thanks for the pics.

Great images of a peaceful relaxing place.  I can fully understand why the liberals would shut it down - NOT.  I too am glad you got to make the trip.

I bet there's some fine Troutage in that classic stream 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟... You know your a fly fisherman when every single bit of water you look at you  automatically calculate how you would fish it .  I was looking at my morning cup of coffee yesterday thinking I bet I could drop a size 22 mosquito right in the middle of that  :innocentwhistle:
