What A find

My Wife [Chris]and I went to a wood turners swap meet today just west of Columbus,Ohio today,and this is what I found




The big piece is figured maple it is 42 inches long and 10 inches wide 3 inches thick  The big chunk is spalted walnut  there is some figured cherry,marble cocobola,African Mohagany,purple heart some other walnut blanks all for less then $50
I think I got a deal

We did enjoy it very much.Found about it Friday night and we both said lets go check it out.

Of course I didn't take enough money along

I haven't been to anywhere "hands on" yet, everything I've gotten is through the mail. I'm gonna try and stop at the Woodcraft store in Lenexa Ks. Don't know how it is, but we should be going right past there.
