How long have you been predator hunting?  What states have you hunted predators in?

I have been calling coyotes for about 25 years in the south. I have hunted

AL
GA
FL
TX only one day
TN
KY

I shot one or two from the truck window before but only been seriously calling the last 18. I do remember  thinking I was the only one in the south until 5 years ago. Chet (AKA Coyotehunter_1) Has been coyote hunting before they made it across the big river. He knew if he called they would come.

I would have started earlier but they were not here yet in my area.

THO Game Calls

I guess it's been about six years now seriously.

I hunt NH, VT, and Mass on a regular basis.  Hunted in NY a time or two, same wit Maine, but never in the real predator kingdom of the west.

From the subject line on this one I was thinking it might be a similar subject as what fills my email junk folder every day :shck:

I have only gotten into preadator hunting this past spring. Just long enough to catch the bug and beg for fall to come. Back in my younger years I trapped a lot with a buddy who now lives in Maine. I started trapping again several years ago. This winter my buddy started calling me and telling me to check out his pics of cats and yotes on the web. That was all it took to get me interested. My next called in and shot yote/cat will be my first and I'm hopeful that I'll be showing ya'll some pics come fall.

Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.

I'm 40 years old and been calling coyotes for 38 of em. Calling em every name I can think of.

No actually I'm gonna say 7 or 8 years. Ric223 and I started together more or less.
I've hunted coyotes in Wisconsin  :shck: , Texas, Arizona, Iowa, and Missouri.

And Rich Higgins, you are welcome up here absolutely any time you feel like coming this far. I'll put a roof over your head, if you put coyotes in front of mine.

I have been calling coyotes since 1955. Been at it pretty steady. There was a short time while I was in the service I didn't do too much, but when I went home on leave I would go hunting. I have stayed with this hobby more than anything I have ever done. I still get a kick out of it and probably always will. It's a great sport.

Bob D

I have only been at it for about two years. I have hunted deer and all the feathered ones for about 50 years. No other hunting thrill compares with predator hunting for me. I think about it every day!

I have been trappin and callin fox and coyotes since i was in my teens. So i'd say somewhere around 22 to 25 years?

When I first started there were no coyotes around here. All of my callin was at night for fox. Then one morning while runnin my traps, wow, i musta only been about 15 at the most cause i was walkin the line then. Well i come out of the woods and out in the middle of the field in a bulldoze pile downwind about 250 yards. Out steps 2 twin german shepards..LOL..
At least that was my first thought, then it hit me, Those are coyotes!! I have been infatuated with hunting and trapping them since. Just ask anyone that has grown up with me, they all thought i was crazy. I have always hunted whitetails, with gun and bow, but my main obsession are coyotes. Because they are the best in the business here and i like the challenge.

I have been able to hunt in:
OH
AZ
IN
CO
KY
TN
So far, as the video's progress I am hopin to hunt many more states.

Started calling coyotes in 1990.  Group hunted with pickup and CB for four or five years before I started calling. Not too many coyotes here until the mid 80's, due to the farm programs(crp).  Spot and stalked Reds since the mid-70's.

Jez by the looks of it I need to get out of the state a little more.

Let's see.... :wo: my daughter is almost 9......hmmm......carry the 2........divide that by 3......the common denominator is............uh.......no........yeah....here we go........
about 8 years I guess........some years I have more time than others, so the learning curve equation has been impeded at times while it accelerates very rapidly at others.

My best guess is 7 or 8. :readthis: How good of a coyote hunter I am? Still a cherry BABY!!!

Been calling coyotes with a gun in Tennessee only.

Called for coyotes without a gun, so as to remain legal in:  :innocentwhistle:
Colorado
Nebraska
Kentucky
Kansas
I think that's about it.

Jim and Ronnie, thank you gentlemen, both, for your kind invitations. I would like very much to talk to both of you about calling with you later this winter.

nailbender

Well about four years since I had my first taste of it with a buddy.  Two years ago I decided if I wanted to do it I was on my own because the only time he would go was at night with snow and we haven't had much the last two years. So started my education.
Really applied myself late last winter and began to have some limited success. I called a few in, I just couldn't finish the job!! :madd: The education continues!
This year is it!  I'm gonna kill 'em.  Got some great areas with good populations and more determination than ever.

JUST Iowa so far. This year i'm going to stretch that list hopfully!
