Surgery went well

Well, they took brother in at 6am yesterday to remove his left kidney. Ran into a little trouble w/ him bleeding a bit but got it under control. After they got it out they had to drain his fluids from it and cool it down to core temp before transplanting it into Sis. They finished up with both of them around 1:30 and they are both doing great.

Last night when I left, Sis was pretty alert but dear ol bro was still under the work of the meds he had in his system. So he was sleeping most of the time. He did say he would be out by Friday as he was going to hit on every nurse that came in his room. I saw the nurse that is taking care of him.....I don't see him hitting on her too much. :innocentwhistle:

My eye is still hurting, but the spot in the cornea of my eye is getting smaller. My ear, which I thought was better, is still stopped up. Like I told my daughter yesterday, I'm blind in one eye & can't see out of the other. (Took her several minutes to get that :roflmao:)

Hopefully Monday they will tell me that there is no surgery and I can put my contacts back in. I hate wearing these stupid specs.

I'm glad all the surgeries worked out well and hope they both heal up soon and get back home. Sorry you haven't gotten over your illness. Man just think of all the cold beer waiting on you,does that make you feel any better? Hurry up and get well, my beer stock needs you.LOL.

They were both up and walking last night according to Cam. He went down with my mom while I was at work yesterday. Talked to my brother in law and he said they are doing great. Tim is already hitting on the select few nurses so we know he's feeling better and Susan is asking when she can have a Mountain Dew.

Now what's going to be fun is watching them both quit smoking. I'll sit back in the corner drinking my cold coors light laughing my butt off at that. Tis going to be a painful site....LOL

Sis & Bro came home yesterday afternoon. Sis is doing great w/ the new kidney. Everything is working and she is recovering from the surgery well. Bro on the other hand is having it ruff. They hurt his rotater cup when moving him from the cutting table and then he had a IV come out of the vein and fill his left arm w/ fluid. He didn't tell anyone till yesterday and he is hurting a bit. He says his stomach is fine where they cut him but his arms are about to drive him nuts hurting. I went and picked up his meds yesterday and a few hours after that he seemed to be feeling somewhat better, but man is his left arn swelled up big time. And he has a big knot on his right shoulder.

Good news is he came home single so the homely looking nurse is still out there. Maybe that's why he is hurting too....she either read the stuff here or Tim asked where all the good looking gals where....LOL we'll never know :shrug:
