Liver cancer? Dang is there no let up?

Thanks guys. Most liver cancer is incurable. It usually ends in transplant, but the type of cancer she has supposedly responds very well even in the liver. I can only hope so. She's scared to death she isn't gonna get to see the girls grow up, but she isn't pitying herself. She's just ready to get the treatment started.

If it is fibrolamellar carcinoma, the prognosis is very good especially if there is a lack of cirrhosis.  It responds to treatment much better than normal liver cancer.  Never give up hope.

Hey guys, I know you're probably tired of reading about this, but tough deal with it.  Looks like we may get to go home this afternoon. She's handled solid food really well and is getting around with less problems. She really perked up when she heard that. She's feeling much better. The pain has really eased up. I just want to say thank you all for allowing me to unload all of this here. It has really helped me to deal with it.

That is GREAT !!!  your Wife will feel better being in her OWN space and seeing your Kids ALL THE TIME will help her out too,,I know my Stays in the Hospital SUCKED,because my 3 kids were little and I missed them,,so when I got home,it was a BIG (But Good) difference,,Good Luck and God Bless

  I have been following this thread and I have to admit, I didn't know what to say to anybody. I am a natural born big mouth, but when it comes to real serious things I take a long time to mull them over in my mind. When I first read your situation, all I could think was the worst, so I didn't post for fear of discouraging you or your family. This thing hit very close to home and I was sick to my stomach for y'all. I guess you can count me in the category as one of those "ye of little faith". I apologize for that. I should have just encouraged ya and prayed for ya.
  Having said all that, all I can say now is "HALLELUJAH!!!". I do believe your wife is on the mend. I'm so thrilled for you. It's been a tough year for you, but your coming through it.
