TOS? the thing they boot people out for not following but turn around and do the same stuff their self's...LOL Tis all a joke.

Seems everyone agrees on the subject of reading the messages sent in private. But when anyone, if anyone, brings this to light....how long are they going to be a member there? Will anyone with the knowledge of this that can do something, do it?

I have always and will always say what I think. It's my right and by doing this I also know I'm not always right in the way I do it. In other words I am human and I do screw up. But the things I have seen and heard of that they do over there will do nothing but bring more people to the other boards. So in a way I think they are doing everyone a favor. The mass gets a taste of it and when they find another place to call home that runs totally different they are happier. I know I am. And I still hate frogs! Name calling or not, the low life knows he has done wrong and won't own up to it.

Still some good moderators over there.
Since the personal message feature (PM) is provided by the board, on the board, for the board members I can understand how the board (redfrog) can believe that the board can take action against a member that uses that feature to attack another member IF one of the members involved files a complaint. Monitoring those PRIVATE messages is wrong since a reasonable expectation of privacy exists.
If they take action against a member because of the content of an e-mail ,which is recognized to be a private corresponance,then that can certainly cause problems for the frog.
Name calling has never particularly bothered me, in fact it has often been entertaining. Rich has called me some interesting names over the years. The only time I received a warning from the frog was over a name change that I addressed CCP , and I did it in humor. I guess frog didn't see the humor.

Every moderator over there has to know about that standard letter, and if they do and support it, are they "Still some good moderators over there."?

Its kind like moving into an extremely racist town filled with "KKK" members, then trying to convince outsiders you don't support and share their ideas, but ya still got the white sheet with their logo on it, folded up in your closet from your house warming party.

I'm going to jump right on board and say I agree that there are still some good moderators there. I know that to be a fact. The problem is that the few who remain good and true can easily be outvoted by the "mob mentality" of the rest.

One thing though, unless it's changed is that the general moderators do NOT have the capability of looking at private messages because the feature that allows them to become "this member" only exists on the control panel to which only administration has access. So, those folks would only be the "board of directors."

It's always fun when you get to peel back the facade and see the gears working. Isn't it? Everyone is going to have a different POV on this. It could be that they are working in concert with the CIA and are sniffing out Al-Qaeda plots?
I have seen RBuker post in the past and I will paraphrase, "It's the Internet! You have to have a thick skin to be on a message board." This is true! The hunting forums consist of mainly grown men and smart ass kids. If you can't take a few jabs you have the option to log off. Besides, anyone that has been on-line for more than 20 minutes has seen and or heard more than they have in their entire lives. I can punch in Disneyland and in two minutes find a picture of Mickey and Minnie going at it, Mousy Style!
I have no problem with them policing the open forum the way they want. It's their job. When it moves to pm's and other boards it crosses the line. How would they know if an email was sent in regards to PM? I could send JOEBLOW an email regarding a post on another forum and call him a shit brick. He could then send it to one of the admins and I could get banned. Wow! That's logical.

OHBob, they can't read the private emails. They are saying if you violate their TOS in an email to someone from the board or an admin you will be banned. Write someone a four letter love note and you can be banned is the point.
Wow! I hope no one saw that. I just quoted myself and replied to Bob. How lame am I? Don't answer.

Does PM T.O.S say anything about wearing a Fins and Fur Hat? Maybe someone should let them know their TOS needs to be revamped to accommodate our line of apparel :roflmao: :roflmao:

Probably. But the good news is that they are fighting for your right to keep and bear arms!
It will be interesting to see if they do ban some and not others. They pick and choose the ones to weed out. Those guys that were banned last year caused quite a pickle for them. They took sides with the wrong guy and realized that more people backed the banned than the doo ragged and be-speckled.

Not a single person,that cares, who is still a member there has violated the TOS that I have read.

Go and read the TOS, it states nothing about pm's or email. They are just making it up as they go along.

as I said, no wonder why people laugh of them. sure they got alot of members but who cares. Most members don't even post.

look at the member list and see how many posts each of them have, not many!

It really is just a minute percentage that actually post and keep the threads alive.

If they went in and deleted the members who have been there for years and have lett than 10 posts, they would lose an ass load of members.

If the PM Admins really are monitoring Personal Messages, then they need to post a notice that they do so. Since it is their board and you are using their software to send the Private Message they have a legal right to "monitor" the content of those PM's. But they have to let the members know that they are exercizing that right.

The company I work for sent out a notification that all email sent from company computers will be monitored for content. If objectionable content is found, you will be terminated without recourse. Had they not made this disclosure first, they would have violated the law and been liable for a law suit.

I got banned a few Months ago,,so they can go to hell !!! oh wait,,they may Ban my Grandson who is 7,IF he ever gets on a Board,,that is a good question,,how far forward in the Family Tree can ole RedAss lay down a Ban ???
