Interesting Visitor

The other day at work we had a guest show up for lunch. It turned out he was there to see one of the guys in my crew.

His name is Rik Smits and is known in the NBA as the Dunking Dutchman. He played 12 years for the Pacers and was a pretty good center for them. This guy is 7'4" tall and one of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet. He came to the plant today and actually had the gall to make fun of my height.....

I told him if he kept it up I would get a ladder and hit him in the jimmies.........

Here's a couple pics of him. The first one is him and his girlfriend, she's 5'4". She's also the sister to a guy that works for me.
The second picture is the Dutchman resting his arm on my head. I'm the round guy in the orange shirt. I thought his arm alone was going to break my back. The third guy is the tallest guy in our plant. He's 6'5".

Oh yeah, for the record Stu. I did mention it to him that it still took more material to make my britches than it did his. Then I added that anyone can grow straight up, but it takes a real man to grow into a circle......

Neat!! I used to watch the NBA when him and Reggie played together and used to fight it out with the Knicks and Spike Lee.

Neat visitor. Since he is almost family - dating the sister of a guy that works for you, do you think he would mind you borrowing his motor home for the LBL. If so, and he says yes, I want to be in you "humble" dwelling at night.

He races moto cross now. His bikes are designed a little different than the average bears bikes though......wild looking.

Had a Harley custom made.......I couldn't have changed gears if I was sitting on the headlight.

Those ape hanger handle bars were a doozy too........
