I suppose I should chime in with my particulars. 45 years old, concrete contractor, and I live in the Bermuda triangle of Ohio ( 15 minutes to PA, or WVA. ). 4 Great kids, from 20 to 6.....( 20-6=14)  7 year itch maybe ?  :innocentwhistle: I hunt, fish, shoot, and on occasion have a drink or two.

After looking at this I just realised my youngest is going to be 7 this summer I better go see doc snip. snip !
I try to have a good outlook on life, but some idiot keeps standing up and blocking my view !

Welcome Kurt   Glad to see you are still amongst the living

Thought I better get on here too.  I'm 50 years old and have 4 children 23,19,10 and 7 who all like to hunt and fish.  I haven't had a drink in 23 years and I'm not going with the snip thing.  :pout:   I have my own custom pesticide application business so I get over about 100,000 acres of crop land a year with my sprayers[what a great way to get permission].
I say what I think not think what I say.

Not as busy at the moment with the kids as I am trying to get 25 posts on here. :laf:  The two oldest came along with my wife 15 years ago.

Newbie here from Montana. I'm a avid hunter (bow & rifle) and also a die-hard ice fisherman.
Pretty new on the Predator hunting so far , but I'm enjoying every minute so far. Great site :thumb2:

I met the girl of my dreams, I was the man of her dreams too.....she used the term "nightmares" though.

I usually don't do these info threads but like what I've seen of Jim Champion on this board and his previous gig, and like this board enough to hope it goes well.

I'm a codger, over 60 and can't believe I've lived this long.  Earliest memories were of my dad carrying me on his shoulders to hunt squirrels or follow the hounds in E. OK.  We moved to E. WA when I was 5.  By age 12 I'd added coyotes to what I hunted, and started calling them as a teenager in the 60's.  I've been fortunate to hunt as a resident in places from Southern California to BC in Canada.  Calling animals has been a lifelong hobby.  I've called more than 30 species not counting waterfowl and add a new one now and then.  I'm not a great shot especially since I picked up a thyroid shake, so like close shots at still or slow moving game.  So I call.

Within the past two seasons have called and either killed or passed a shot on caribou, black bear, mule deer, whitetail, blacktail (only counting bucks here)  lynx, bobcat, and coyote.  Called both wolf and cougar inside of 60 yards last season but didn't get a shot.  Have also called at other times moose, elk, grizzly, fox and a call made the difference in getting a mountain goat.  Also like to fish, mainly salmon and trout these days though have hammered pike and walleyes a few times.  Love to kayak, especially when towed by a salmon.

Thoroughly married to one woman for 40 years this summer, three kids who turned out way better than their dad, and 8 grandkids with another on the way.  I am blessed.

Hi all,
I guess I ought to have done this a while back, but better late than never, and all of that.  Registered here right around the beginning of this year, but have not posted until now. I have spent a good bit of time reading and trying to learn stuff here, there is lots to absorb. I always try to spend some time studying at boards like this before saying too much, to try to avoid too much "stoopid noob syndrome" type posts. Though I am, in fact a Stoopid noob, I try not to act like one, so much as I can avoid doing so.

I got motivated to post SOMETHING because last night, as I was on-line here reading, another member took the time to bother to PM me just to say "Hey Dude, good to see you here". I can't yet PM you back, but you know who you are, I'm sure. Thanks for that, I appreciate the welcome, and it got me off of my butt.

I am located in NE Massachusetts right near the NH border. I am a long time shooter and hunter, though my hunting activity was pretty dormant until a few years ago. I have done a bit of predator with a friend once or twice, and despite the fact that we saw nothing, I want to do more. Which is what brought me here. I've been reading lots about calling and such, and am planning to try applying what I have picked up this fall when the season opens. Took up and did a bit of trapping for the first time last year, got 7 decent beavers for my trouble. I've got lots to learn there, too.

I'm an engineer by trade, married, bunch-o-kids, ordinary enough to qualify as "boring."

Thanks for all of the info that is posted here, these boards are amazing storehouses of knowledge.

You sir are a born predator hunter!  :congrats:    Welcome to our board.!
Please feel free to ask your "Stoopid Noob"  questions.  It gives us who are no longer Noobs, but none the less still stupid, great glee to answer them.   ;yes;

Thanks for the welcome, guys.  Time will tell just how much of a "born predator hunter" I turn out to be. It took me enough years to get my first deer that my
wife started calling me "the benign hunter". That hurt.  I will jump in here as time allows. Life is pretty busy these days.

HA!  That's quite a compliment, coming from any of this crowd!
Besides, I've found a certain level of BSing to be an important life skill.

Thanks,
Al A.
