Ozark Larry and I did some nite hunting Sat. nite. Called in a pair, and just couldn't quite get a double. Larry let the first of the two get within about 10 yards before blasting it. He didn't see the second one- and I told him after the stand there were two - probably a mated pair. He replied, "they're not a mated pair anymore". I immediately starting singing - "he stopped loving her today", the number one country song of all time - and we got a good laugh. I'm laughing typing it. It's probably not near as funny to you all as it is me - guess you had to be there.

Had a good nite - saw a bunch of eyes, had a few wind us before we could get on 'em, and counting the cat Larry called in before I met him, called 3 bobcats within shotgun range. Someday we'll be able to have a bobcat season. Please Santa Please!!

Good looking yote lankrod, if Ozark Larry had shot them both you could have sang Lynyrd Skynyrd's Double Trouble :yoyo:. On a side note I've got George Jones stuck in my head now.

That is a nice looking coyote.  Jim and Stu will be looking at that one for their tanning solution.

Transit - who uses a transit these days???????  The total station is secured in a padded case - in the cab of the truck.  If they ever develop survey grade gps that can be used real time in canopy - total stations will become transits - a thing of the past.

FinsnFur

Yea but ya gotta remember were north of ya just a smidge, and so were about 3 light years behind reality. So we still use the screw on transits. :eyebrownod:
