Bills Custom Calls

I woke up Sunday morning and started it as always coffee and this board.Finished a few calls, went deer hunting, then took a nap.Chris woke me up to tell me she was going shopping with our oldest daughter.I kinda went back to napping, and woke up 10 minutes later my eyes burning and throat scratching and the smell of smoke. With my eyes still fuzzy I go on the hunt.None of the somke detectors have gone off yet so I kept looking, and determined it was coming from the basement. So I go down the steps still searching when it dawned on me the wood burner in the basement had a leaky chimney pipe on it.Not much to do but open the house up and shut the wood burner. All is well and the pie will get fixed tonight.
What a scare that was

Glad everything is ok Bill.  Get that chimmney pipe fixed.  Carbon monoxide will kill you, and you won't even smell it. You might consider a carbon monoxide alarm.

Take care

Bill,

Sounds like you were lucky in a couple of ways - the house is still standing and you didn't go under from carbon monoxide.

Jim,

You do have a way with words.   :roflmao:

Bill-- Tell the gang here about the day you & Chris went to the antique mall. What did she say about that cabinet you bought that day!!  Thats what I was thinking about when I read that.
