"Say hello to your little friends"  BUZZ, BUZZ, BUZZ.   Don't hornet leave the nest in the winter and burrow into the ground?  I know that the ones that kids brought to school in the winter didn't have anyone inside.  Now, praying mantis egg sacks are a different matter.  After having several hatch out in the room, we started keeping them on the window sill - outside the classroom.

That nest is a beauty. It would look great hanging up as decoration on the porch or something. It looks huge. Good luck in getting it down in one piece. Those things are so fragile.

Jerry-- All I know is that they weren't there on Monday when I did the yard work under that tree. Then yesterday AM Diane pointed it out to me. Either way I'm gonna bag it up.

alpenliter-- It's going in my den. I'm gonna hang it from the ceiling away from the cats.

Jim-- YEP!!! I was thinking after the isnpection I did that the place needed the windows wrapped in plastic.    Until June!!! :roflmao:  When you gonna stop by & decorate it for me??

Hawaii??!! Oh gawd no.   I don't think I could live on an island.   Ohio to be exact. It was upper 40's lower  50's earlier in the week & just yesterday it took a dip finally. It's just above freezing here today & they are calling for freakin rain on Monday. But then again,, it just wouldn't be deer season around here without 50's & rain.

Those are cool. I've never been at the right place, or more importantly, at the right time, to score one of those. My father in law has a couple hangin up. I think they'd look great in a den.
