Glen I was told about that story at work yesterday,but the feller wasn't sure where it was.
I would never leave my 9 year old grandson set someplace by himself while I went off and done something else in the woods.How the hell are these young folks suppose to learn something out there by themselves

I want that boy right by my side so he can show me how it is done or vise versa.
I would rather have his movement make me miss a shot then not have him with me at all.

How damn dumb can these people be?

I agree with every word you said Glen and you should never apologize for feeling this way.
If anyone is not mature enough to know and understand simple ethics of hunting and or target identification..........They should never enter the sport or the woods.
My prayers are with the family but that guy should fry!

It happens...In 1994, I was put in the hospital after my roomate shot me in the chest. I was calling a bird in when he came from behind and shot me.

Man this reallly rocks me, as having lost a child to a drunk driver I know the horror of losing a child and the initial report did not tell the whole story, my heart could not sink any lower for the little boy and his mother, it is from guys like this that put a black spot on hunting

It doesn't make one bit of difference if he was stone cold sober or drunk as a skunk.

ANYONE who takes a child hunting and then LEAVES them in the woods alone and goes wandering off is a moron.

Exactly what I was thinking guys. Why would someone leave a 9 year old unattended during spring turkey? Tells you what kind of person he is.
