Here's some pics of Rick223's and mine, stomping grounds. Drinking establishments

The bottom of the door to this bar is roughly 40 inches from the ground. There's a big cement stoop leading up to it.

This is was an cty rd intersection.

Brings back memories of Ohio a few months back.  It looks like they got the sand bags out a little too late or  didn't have enough of them.

Rick223

They had about 15 member rescue team down there till the water was off the streets.
As far as the sandbags there wasnt enough time to put them up the water went from the edge of the road to inside the bars in about 4 hours .

That looks nasty and it is a pain in the ass, hope their insurance companies don't try to screw them, saying they didn't have flood insurance or some other B.S. like that.
I was 3" from being on an island myself and it is a pain just to get to work, in 2005 when our 1st flood hit it wasn't to bad as gas was fairly cheap then, but when we had to drive 25-30 miles out of the way in the 2008 flood, well it got expensive then.
I see where Missouri is still getting flooded, or is it Mississippi, or both ?

I feel for ya'll. Wish you could give us the run-off, we have been in a severe drought down here for 5 years. My favorite duck holes have been gone for three of those years

I could do a couple belly flops in front of the bar and have it dried up in a short amount of time.  :yoyo:

Yes to your question, In fact everything is back in its banks, almost back to normal except for all the damage the flood caused and raw sewage thats still being pumped in the rivers because the sewer plants were damaged.

Well I'm glad to hear that Rick. At least it's progress & there is more light at the end of the tunnel for you folks up there. just be careful with all that crap in the water when you're out fishing now. Dissentary (sp) is a sumbitch to get rid of.
