Ruger .204 action.

Hi all i have a ruger m77 Mk 2 in .204,it is the varmint/target with a heavy barrow and floor plate, i am trying to find out if it is the long or short action in this rifle.
can any one help please.

Hawks Feather

I thought they would be using the same action (short) that they use on the .223 but thought I would give them a call to make sure.  It is a SHORT action.

Yes its a SHORT action but it's parent cartridge is a intermediate action  .

Many thanks that has put my mind at rest :biggrin: i am ordering a new stock and needed to know

Hi just to let you know,be weary when ordering a stock with a high cheek rest, i ordered the short action which Ruger said was correct but you cannot insert the bolt,now i have to work on the stock to make it fit. :confused:
