I was in Oklahoma when IKE paid a visit to my house (West KY).

My wife was home at the time and was unhurt.   The wind was blowing 65-75 mph at its peak according to the local paper.  It may not look like it but I think I've got over $20,000 worth of damage.   The siding looks wrinkled in the pic but it isn't. The camera just made it look that way.

Now I'll see what kind of insurance I got.

WOW!! That's bad Semp. Maybe your camera is picking up something you can't see with the eye. Because the wrinkles appear to be going away from the point of impact. I hope your insurance co. does you right. Keep us posted on it.

I am glad no one was hurt and that you have (or think you have) insurance.  I usually hear something like wind damage is only covered when there is no wind.

Good luck Semp and hope you get back to normal soon.

Glad everyones ok!!

The ripple effect is from the camera trying to decipher all the parrell lines. Lots of digital cameras do that when you hace close parell lines like that.
Don't bring shame to our sport.

Wow, I'd hate to be walking out that door to check the weather when that happened.
Did it happen in the night or during the day? Can't imagine waking up to that smashing sound.

Good to hear no one was hurt.

Yea, that would have scaret the living daylights outta me, I'd be reaching for the shotgun if I heard that crashing.

Glad your wife is ok.

It happened during daylight hours.  My wife was on the cell phone to me giving me updates as the storm progressed.  I told her to get away from the windows and stay in the downstairs family room.

The interior wall to the right of the front door literally exploded from the weight. Pieces of drywall are all over the room.

All its going to take is time and money (insurance money I hope) and we'll be good as new.   :yoyo:

That's a bummer!
Glad everybody is OK.
