well if they have to serve in the military I think that it should be mandatory all students should work on a farm for six months to graduate from high school

I hope and pray that they do not institute a draft, and not for the reasons that it will dilute the armed forces with people who do not want to be there.

No, I hope they do not reinstitute the draft because if they do, it will give them an almost unlimited amount of cannon fodder to paly out their little games around the world.

But think about it another way. If the dems start beating the drums to get the draft back, and the country says NO in a resounding voice, the dems can then turn right around and say that we have to pull out of Iraq because we do not have the troops to continue the battle.

Could this be a ploy to get us out of Iraq without making it look like the dems wanted to cut and run as they say?

I can't speak for Straycat, but my view was it was just a couple guys with different views. I pulled my posts simply to follow Straycats lead, after he pulled his...... didn't make sense to leave half of the discussion. ....... no hard feelings on this end.

I kinda amend them both for removing the posts. But before ya take that the wrong way, in my opinion neither of them was in the wrong for anything they DID post. I read the whole thing and went on with my day.

It was nothing more than two lines drawn in the sand by completely different opinions, and well....as nature will have it...were just gonna have different opinions from time to time. It's inevitable, it's natural.

I think by not letting it escalate to the next level and opting out completely, both of em took the high road here. But who am I?
