Good find Jim. I have been reading about this sound and recently added the "Female Whimper" sound to my Scorpion which sounds a lot like this. I actually tried this sound on a mouth call on a stand this afternoon. My Scorpion was on the fritz . . . . I couldn't get it to work very well without the remote?? The remote was left in the car?? Not my fault, just as I was thinking about putting it in my pocket, one of my hunting buddies said he had forgotten his shooting sticks?? Being the nice guy that I am, I told him I had a spare set in the back of the Trooper. Didn't think about the remote again til we got to our first stand???

I'm not sure I did the sound correctly, but nevertheless I gave it a try. My lack of success probably had more to do with the very crunchy noisy snow than the quality of my estrus chirp sounds??

No Jim, he usually only posts Info on Hunts or Expo things and such. He has been posting some on Higgin's new site though.

I was proddin at him, cause I'm sure he checks In every now and then..I'm glad you went with Ohio for the location Brent!!

I discovered I can do with a diaphragm as well as with a high-pitched cottontail closed reed. Just hold the call a little deeper in your cupped hand and blow directly into your hand, with your lips on your hand and not the call.

Those estrus chirps can be made by just about any call including bite down calls. I'm betting every call made by all of the call makers on this forum will produce estrus chirps.

I have a question for Hunsley. Does a female coyote in the Dakota's have that northern drawl in her voice when she does the "chirp" thing?

She can make any kind of accent she wants Rich after all South Dakota is South of North Dakota.
