Sunday hunt

Woke up Sunday to fresh snow,about 4" and after taking care of chores I thought I would walk up behind the house to see if I could cut some fresh tracks. On my second set at about 4 to 5 minutes she came running in from my right. I was playing a group of coyotes sound with a distressed cottontail with it. I finally got her stopped about 50 feet below me and the old 243 with 70 gr HPBT stopped her but she

slid to the bottom of the ravine. Where is HaMeR when you need him?? I would have given him 20 bucks to go get her.

It was a GREAT day for hunting[i

Your four inches of snow didnt last long did it? Looks like you just made it home in time. If ya was going to go back out you'd need your green.

I enjoyed talking with you on the Redbird hunt.......Real big female yote ya got there.....If I were there I woulda got it for ya.

Sorry for the slow reply,,, work,farm and just got back from Knoxville with a sick llama. But yea it was strange Saturday it was in the mid 50's and I was able to work with my bee'sand woke up sunday with snow and mid 20's. The ground seldom freeze's very deep maybe a inch or so and when the sun poked through the clouds it dosn't take long to get rid of it. The winters are much nicer here than in North East Iowa where my wife and I are from. Thanks for all the comments . Steve
