Baby fawns down yet??

When Bill and Glen and I were out on Sat. we saw some tracks that appeared to be this year's fawn.  Have any of you seen any yet?  I didn't know if it was too early for them to be dropping or not??  If it is then "fawn distress" sounds might prove effective??

I don't know about your area Jim but up here it's a month and a half early.  Never know when someone or thing gets out of sync though.

Same here, way too early.  But I have seen different species of birds breeding already 

Ya never know mother nature though,  it may get up in the 60's and turn into spring in the blink of an eye....

I usually start seeing them right after turkey season .......Fawn distress works year round.

The most of the fawns will drop before ya start seeing them and some are born sooner as I know they do not all drop the same week. There could be a few getting ready to drop early......I am just saying that fawn distress can be used to hunt coyotes year round.

The fawns usually drop toward the end of April here.  I believe they're always a few that are early and a few that are late.  Some does come in estrous earlier than most.  That gets the bucks to start running them (pre-rut).  Most come in about the same time which gets the bucks all tore up (the rut).  There are always a few that come into estrous later in the season and when the bucks get a little sniff of this, you have the post rut.  Maybe it was one of the early estrous does and she already dropped a fawn.  I think its possible.

I just came in from a night hunt and saw several baby fawns behind my house.  There are definitly a few dropped already!!

Thats pretty cool, outside right now its only 25 degree.  Still gotta get warmer up here.  Figured if he'd seen the tracks they must be starting to drop, but yall are down south where its warmer.

I though it was to early here in Kentucky but saw a small fawn track last thursday
Also seeing Toms strutting
I guess its hard to tell
