Title: One eyed Hawg
Post by: FinsnFur on July 01, 2021, 09:46:54 PM
This girl look like she was having a bad week. Her eye wound didn't look like it was too old. When I released her the underwater camera caught her face planting her right side into the bottom as if she was swimming away from the wall that she could only see on her left side. Kind of felt bad for her.

Maybe you should have put her out of her misery and eaten her.

Interesting!  Thanks for taking the pic and posting it.  Wonder what happened to her eye?

I hooked a salmon eyeball one time when I was trolling.  I was rowing and out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw the rod tip jerk.  No sign of anything more so I kept trolling but when I pulled in the spoon some time later, the hook had a salmon eyeball on it.

Yah ouch!

Jerry that was an option. I don't keep many of them anymore. And with the water being 84° I really don't LOL
Nasty that was just nasty and I don't think you ever did go to college did you? LOL [emoji23]
Clyde my guess.. and that's all it is is a guess, is that somebody caught her prior and the hook went into her mouth and came out her eye. It's really common on bass for some reason.

Wow!   :bowingsmilie: :highclap:  All kidding aside, that's an accomplishment, in places and at a time when college meant more than leftist politics.

Interesting stuff re how the bass lost the eye.

I was the first one in my family to go to college and the first one to get a masters degree which I am fairly proud of.  I used to work three jobs at a time usually, for six years.  My forensic training enabled me to identify the bass attacker as a 4 inch blue crawdad in approximately 3 1/2 feet of water on the right bank of the river.  :innocentwhistle:

I grew up in the green mountains of Vermont in a cabin with no inside plumbing no electricity and no running water.  Times sure have changed!
