Early in the season my buddy killed a deer with his bow....we took it to camp and was hanging it for skinning and the coyotes came to 100yds or less of us yipping howling then barking at us coming slightly closer....barking some more as if they wanted us to get away from the deer so they could have it.....We could not see the yotes as they were in heavy cover behind my camper.
We do pile all of our deer parts in the same spot and the yotes drag off every little scrap.

A week later I killed one and it was the same thing   .......yotes acting like they could not wait for the scraps....

Gun season opened up and I been asking for everyone's deer carcasses and hauling them out to the pile......a couple of coons hit the pile for a time and some birds  with 9 piles of scrap......Over two weeks and no sign of a coyote.
Last evening one of my buddies and I went out for a couple of hours for hm to take a doe and he did......
the pile is almost completely gone.....Yote tracks everywhere......While hanging his deer right at dark.....Coyotes again were howling and barking at us from several spots......I seen one of them this time briefly.
We have not called to them or bothered them at all so hopefully soon I will be killing a couple of them..... :eyebrow:

Do you think they are this hungry??
The barking does not sound like the usual warning bark it almost sounds like a house dog whining and begging wanting the treat to come.

Your thoughts......??
I will be going after em soon ......they are pressured in this area and hard to get...

Hang the deer up midday when most coyotes are sleeping or sunning, and then hide in a neighboring tree. :eyebrow:
