Spent the morning on a conference call with work.  Then a conference call with my buddy and Birthday boy "Dave."  You would have thought my day complete?   :nofgr:
Sneaked a peek out the deck door and would you believe there was a Silver head peering out from Honey Hole 2!  A few seconds, and a .22 slug later, I was hauling this youngster out from the mouth of HH2.  I thought about wrapping him up and sending him off as a special birthday gift for my friend? :wo:  But figured the local red fox would appreciate my sentiment all the better. -It's the thought that counts.  :laf: This makes No.8 in an all too slow season?
May the back pastures be good to you all!

Nice looking Silver back. I love his black socks.
Are you guys going through a drought like we are? Is there much out there for them to eat and hide in?
All of our yards are a deteriorated and dehydrated, Arizona mummified brown.

Jim,

We've had a surge of rain the last couple of weeks and everything has greened up nicely.  Even had to cut the lawn twice in the last few weeks.  They're calling for rain tonight into tomorrow.  I was in North Central Wisconsin this week, and things looked pretty green there?  I believe they got more rain than you Southern folk. The hogs meanwhile around here have plenty of greenery to choose from.

Just got caught up on all the "Hawg War" pics and post.  :highclap:

You guys are knocking them out thanks for sharing!

Dave

Hey, no thanks on receiving any packages.
He sent out a mounted one a few years back as a joke and I have to admit I had some fun with it.  Dante shot at it twice before realizing what was going on.  And then one of his friends must've shot at least 6 or 7 x's before we started laughing.
Only 8, though?  I may have a shot at beating you this yr.  We have 3 confirmed and a few others drilled, but ebbed into the depths of their holes before expiration.  Good news is that there are a few to be shot around here.

Between you and sharp shooter Dante, those hogs don't stand a chance!  Look forward to a few photos.

The groundhog population over there doesn't stand a chance!!
