...or any other military or retired military member out there.

Remember me saying I had a lil script that would babysit the new server, and automatically ban any IP address that tried to hack it's way in numerous times and ban them on the 5th try?

Boy, she was slow tonight. :eyebrownod:

6:32 pm DISTRITO FEDERAL, VENEZUELA.... 5 times failed, auto IP ban
8:05 pm LOS TEQUES, VENEZUELA..... 5 times failed, auto IP ban
9:13 pm BAGUIO, VENEZUELA....5 times failed, auto IP ban
10:04 pm City Unknown, VIET NAM.... 5 times failed, auto IP ban
10:28 pm BEIJING, CHINA....5 times failed, auto IP ban
11:44 pm DISTRITO FEDERAL, MEXICO.... 5 times failed, auto IP ban

These are just people trying to log in as root owner of the entire server, (AS ME :biggrin:).

You can imagine the traffic our server gets on a busy night, .......well actually you probably can't. It's like never ending. You have to always be on guard. Tell em Semp!

The strings attached to something like this, I should probably let you all know. If you guys (any member of the board), or even a hosting client trying to access their control panel....tries to log in and fails 4 times due to forgetting a password or user name...for gods sake stop and get a hold of me. One more failed attempt and your doomed. :sick2:
And it is a royal pain in the keester recovering a single IP address from the dead ditch.

They dont want Fins and Fur :nono:
They want the server. It's common and an everyday occurrence.

If they can crack into the server, they can take it over, put their own stuff on here, have a big time.
Whats funny is now from the time I posted that, till now there wasn't a single sniff. They must have all slept in over there. :laf:

Ohh, I seen the "bustin ours to save yours" on a window decal yesterday. Some fire dept. I thought it was cool, and JUST HAD to give it a whirl :eyebrownod:
