That's pretty neat. I about wore my mouse wheel off trying to go south. :laf:

Yeah your best bet is to zoom out first.
It's set to load on California. I'm still working on that part.

It's a tricky little patch of code that's for sure.

Jim,

That is pretty neat.  I kept enlarging till I could see the street that I live on, but I couldn't see my house so I colored one in where I live.  Now that the map is gone the house that I drew on the screen won't go away.  Do you have any suggestions?   :eyebrownod:

....get out of the house Jerry. Run as fast as you can and dont look back.  :shck:

Actually if you put it on Satellite...you should have seen your house....unless your in the boon docks like me. Oh hang....their piping in some more sunshine...I gotta go help un load the truck.

I got her to load showing the midwest now....and you can still navigate to anywhere and zoom right in.
I was trying to spy on Brent...oh by the way Brent...you need to mow your lawn.

This is a pretty handy device.

Boy, if I only would have seen that satellite button I wouldn't have this magic marker house on my screen.  I feel so lost.

Jerry... :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

When I tried to zoom in where I live it is said.....we can't zoom in your area......you are the only one there!!!!

WOW! that is something else!!!
I could zoom in enough to see the Suburban in the the back yard & the dog kennel. When I went to zoom in on the ol' home place it wouldn't zoom enough to see the house & barns.

FinsnFur

Yeah, I'm not sure if the sattelite shots seen in Hybrid mode are only available as the world turns or not at all for some areas or how that stuff works.

Ya can't get real close to my house either. Too rural I guess, but you can watch em sprinkle salt on the fries at McDonalds in Santa Monica, California.....go figure.

Looking at that picture just made me think of something.

Last month we had some government dudes show up at the plant for a couple days. They set up a bunch of fancy equipment and would stop each truck that came in and out of the docks. The truck would have to pull under this canopy for a few minutes and then was allowed to go on it's way.

Me, being the bashful type, went out there and asked them what exactly it was they were doing. They politely told me how everything in the "world" gives off a certain radiation signature. They were getting pictures via satellite of everything that we hauled in and out of our plant. It would help them to more accurately identify a truck that was hauling components for a bomb as opposed to other materials.
I was glad we had the technology to help us out in these times of National Security, but it's still a little creepy..........the whole "Big Brother" thing.........well......nevermind.

Just thought I would share.
